Title: No August POG meeting
Post by: Paul Danik on August 02, 2009, 06:43:26 AM
Just a reminder that there will be no August POG meeting as we just had a meeting last week at VMD.  The next POG meeting will be September 3rd at 7pm in the KTM building Amherst, Ohio.

Thanks
Paul

Paul,

At one time, the idea of a Saturday meeting was kicked around.  Such a opportunity could greatly enhance the opportunity to attend, by POG'ers who can't make the weeknight meetin's.

Any thoughts?

Weekend would be more feasable. If I choose to attend a meeting, I have to allow for 2 days, as the one way trip is 6 hours. Meeting is in the evening and then the drive home, makes for a very long day.

The wheels are in motion to host a Saturday POG meeting in Amherst, as more details are ironed out the information will be posted for all to see. Don't look for it to happen this fall as it will take some planning and co-coordinating to pull this off, but if this works out I can assure you it will be worth the wait and the travel.

Thanks
Paul

Do I remember a mention that at least one meeting may be held at the "Steak and Lube" sometime in the future??? [8D]

We can possibly plan on getting a bite to eat at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Vermilion in conjunction with the Amherst meeting, thanks for bringing that to our attention.  I would guess that the Steak and Lube is less than 10 miles from Amherst, possibly someone from the area can give a more accurate mileage.

John Born's Berkshire is on display inside the lube in a very unique display, well worth seeing, the wings aren't too bad either :D
