Title: ISDTRR Historic Class
Post by: Kip Kern on August 13, 2009, 11:21:33 AM
I am building a 75/76 GS 400 to enter into the "Open" Historic Class for the Reunion Ride in October.  What color are the # plate backgrounds supposed to be?  White or Yellow?  I am not sure from the AHRMA Handbook, Post Vintage?, Historic? Woodstock?.  Thanks in advance[:p] CIAO

Kip,
Post vintage number plates are a yellow background with black numbers, but I'm not sure it matters anymore with the tranponders.  I took Ambr's Black Beauty, with laid down shocks and yellow number plates to Texas and Teddy's remark was "Why aren't you having her ride vintage, with the Penton in regular shock position?"  I said the number plates are yellow and he said it didn't matter.  The scorers are not paying attention to the bike numbers, but rather the transponders.  But if you want to be correct, then the plate has yellow backgrounds.

If you want it to be "ISDT correct", then it is black on  yellow.

Kip,

Yellow is what AHRMA says Historic should use, and its also correct for ISDT bikes. I always change my white vintage class number plate backgrounds that I run in the regular season to yellow for the Reunion Ride.
