Title: Flywheel puller?
Post by: imported_n/a on August 29, 2009, 11:58:43 AM
Hi, can anyone tell me what thread size(s) I need for a flywheel puller? My '74 Six Day has PVL ingnition and what I believe is the orignal Motoplat flywheel. There's a puller on ebay under Penton with 30mm x 1.5mm right turn threads, would it work? I think Al B. is out of them at the moment. Thanks as always!

Chris,
The Motoplat Mini 6 flywheel puller thread, is 26 X 1.5mm. The Motoplat internal rotor puller thread is 27 X 1.25mm. No, the 30mm puller won't work on any of the Motoplat flywheels. We just shipped a batch of the pullers for the Motoplat flywheels to Al Buehner.
