Post by: [email protected] on September 03, 2009, 01:10:38 PM
I have 2 Windsor gas tanks, white, which fit the Penton hi-breather frames. One has petcocks, 1 does not. $45 for both. Cleaning out the garage.

FYI.....If the petcocks are the press in type that uses a rubber bushing, they can be hard to find. I recently came across this website. Look at the threadless valve and the rubber bushing. Please understand, I haven't tried these petcocks.

Hi all,
I bought some petcocks that fit the Windsor tanks from Wicks aircraft supply. I currently have a pair in use on my 77 250 GS6 and the petcocks work fine. The only thing is they do not have a reserve feature so its either all or nothing. I have some spares out in the garage and once I locate them I'll post the part numbers for the petcocks and seal bushings.

Hi all,
Here are the part numbers from Wicks Aircraft Supply for the petcock and tank grommet. Petcock # is FV-11046 which is a 90 degree outlet with a fuel filter screen. Tank grommet is # FTG12240.

Yes! Received some grommets and petcocks today from Steve's source (air-tec). Went to the garage and tried 'em out. One, I lubed per instructions and the other, I didn't lube since the first went in w/o too much trouble. Tested, and neither leaks.  They are snug but not like a screw-in. I guess if they are ok for aeroplanes they are ok for ground crawlers but does anyone glue these grommets in?  You'd have to drill/scrape them out later but it might give some peace of mind and security. Anyway, my El Cheapo Loco Mexicali desert tank is about to come to life thanks to you guys.
