Title: Wespoint Qualifier helmet camera footage
Post by: brian kirby on September 22, 2009, 03:19:30 PM
Here is the folder with my Westpoint helmet camera footage.

The clips are labeled by day and test number. The 10 lap Grass track is particularly good for the first lap when Dwight and I are battling it out.

Looks like a blast. Good job on the footage. I just cringe when I hear all those missed shifts. I guess I have never ridden a Penton on the edge like that at speed but I know how hard it must be to try for that positive shift everytime. You are fast in those woods, I feel like I am fixing to hit a tree at any moment.

Most, if not all, of those missed shifts are me being sloppy and not making a positive shift. It is very hard to do, but I have to tell myself over and over, a slower but positive shift is faster than "slapping" at the lever and missing a shift. The bike probably needs a fresh shift key too, which I'll do after the Reunion Ride and Barber.
