For sale complete (less ignition) DKW 6/B bottom end. I have had this in my parts locker for the past 10 years and finally pulled it out this past weekend to take a look at it. Here's is what I know.
Has been sitting dry with no jug for at least 10 years. I am able to rotate everything, but it is dry so I did not work it that much.
Rod is not broken or bent and it has a 56MM piston attached.
I pulled the shift side cover and the there is quite a bit of surface rust on the gears inside.
Serial number on the engine tag is 1251/6B 9032354 122
1 of the 4 studs for the jug is missing, not broken off, just not there.
Side covers are in really good shape with the DKW lettering, no major scores in them or cracks that I can see.
The right side of the center cases is missing the corner, just above the counter sprocket. There was a Hercules case protector bolted on here and when I was pulling it off I managed to bust off the corner. I can weld it back on if it makes a difference to anyone.
