Title: Sach Crankshaft Rebuilder
Post by: Ron on October 20, 2009, 03:27:35 PM
Hi Guys,
I have a Sachs crankshaft I need to have rebuilt.
Can anyone tell where I can get this done?
I understand the crank pin is tapered and the crank has to be pulled apart vs pressed apart.
Seems like special equipment is required.
Thanks for any info,
RonW

Doug Wilford is the best guy to do this for you.  He does all my Sachs race motors and did them back in "The Day".  Spent years with Penton and Sachs.  None better in my book.

Thanks Larry,
I've seen others highly recomend Doug's work, but I didn't know if he actually did the cranks himself or not.
I'll contact him off the board.
Thanks again,
RonW

Contact Forest Stahl @ 765-284-7653.  He is an old Husky Penton dealer and still maintains a machine shop.
