I moved the photograph archive box over the weekend and happened to glance into it and see this picture laying on top. From memory he was a very good and very fast rider and hopefully still a member.

Here's another photograph from the same venue. Some aspects look like it's a Penton but there is no visible tank strap.

Dale,
Where are these shots taken? Was these at Honda Hills?

I'll dig back into the box, I think there is a picture that may show a tower or the start finish line. I have a Honda Hills button that may have come from this race. We frequented races in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana in the early 70's.
In the second photo, the rear brake arm caught my eye. It reminded me of these photos that Bruce Herbison took of Moisseev's bike.

Same number on the bike too, and no tank strap. I bet that is Jack riding it, it sure looks like him.

Looks like a prototype 250.
I definitely remember that Jack was riding the 250 at Honda Hills. That bike was so strong that Jack wasn't very comfortable riding it.

Here are some other pictures from this event.

Dale,
These are great pictures. Thanks for sharing them.

Dale.
These are great shots. Thanks for posting them, I always print them out and put them in a 3 ring binder for a scrapbook.
I am getting back on my feet....had foot surgery last Friday, and will get with you on your request.
Sorry for the delay, been on my back for 5 days, so far.

#20 is me on Moisseev's 250 world championship bike.
I rode the bike in four of the Trans Am support class races.
The bike was so fast that I won almost every start. I see in the start photo that I was second on this start. I have a few more black and white action pics of me and the bike.
Jack Penton
The rider in the first photo looks like he's wearing a Piasecki Cycle shirt. Could that be Mike Penland?
Jack,
Thanks for verifying what some of the "eagle eye" poggers suspected:D
Correction: Blue Jersey rider #10 is Heikki Mikkola.
Great pictures Dale .... I loved the 70's.
Thanks for sharing these awesome pics! Honda Hills was a cool layout back in the day. I still remember the creek crossing followed by a big up hill, a quick left then a nasty downhill.
Jeff
Honda Hills was an excellent track, seeing that photo of Lampuu brought back a memory of Pete and I having coffee and bench racing the track before starting our day working as propmakers together at Universal Studios. We lost a giant of a man when Pete died both in heart and stature.
I found some old super eights from our old tracks Jeff, I'm lookin into getting them on DVD'S
Dave
If you ever get those onto a DVD, put me on the list to get one!
