Title: Old Meadowlarks films and message to Joe Novak
Post by: VICTOR MONZ on November 13, 2009, 04:23:50 PM
Joe and the rest of you all racing Meadowlarks in the early 70's....I spoke to Rick Belsole today and he thinks he has some film of Meadowlarks racing from way, way back....he's digging for it and maybe we can CD it and get it out there on a U-Tube show.

Good to hear from you Joe....I can remember us lining up next to each other, maybe harescrambles or MX's....waiting for the fast guys to go....what fun !  You were a good racing friend....we just laid back there at 5,6, 7 th place so as not to offend the Penton guys...wouldn't want them to feel bad ![:p]

Isn't Ollie you're unlce or ?  My Dad and him did construction work around Lorain county as young bucks.

Really good to see you "Still Keeping Track" !  Are you on a Penton now ?  I have six in the garage and side storage and 3 project bikes in various stages.  Kinda got the bug a few years back.

Anyway best to you and yours.

Here's me today  on a "hot" Berkshire....I can touch the ground now with both feet !

Victor,  Ollie is my uncle.  I did not know that he and your dad worked together.  Ollie took lots of movies of races whereever we raced.   Last time I talked to my cousin, John Shinsky, he reminded me that he has all those movies now.  That is a great idea to put them on CD.   Does anyone even have a movie projector anymore?   Yes, I am getting back into Pentons.  I still had some old parts in my garage.  Al Born asked me, "Joe, what's in your garage?"  Sort of transformed into an event at our monthly Penton meetings at KTM in Amherst called, "What's in your Garage?"   Members bring in all sorts of memorabilia, bike parts, et.al.  Anything goes!  It is really entertaining.                                            Right now, I am trying to put together a Penton Berkshire from parts.  I have collected most parts which I need to complete the project, but still need a few.                                   WOW.  Your bike looks great!  Great photo.  It seems like you are the man to beat out on the West Coast.  Ride safely.  joe

Hello guys, Just thought I would let you know that Wallgreens Drugs photo department can transfer old movies 35mm ,38mm film and VCR tapes to CD. They can also add a sound track as well. Its about a two week turn around, and for a reasonable price. Once you get the master copy done they can burn extra copies cheap [^] Hope this helps you out. I have a lot of old films my dad took back in the day,and to me they are priceless! :D Nice looking Berkshire Victor!!!
