hi guys,
i am trying to come to grips with myself and my sanity !!
Came home Monday evening to find the latches cut off 2 of my garages, 6 bikes stolen and my enclosed trailer cleaned out !!
i have not slept or eaten in days, this is so emotionally crushing that words are hard to find, i work so hard to get the things i love for myself and my Son and to have some "dirt bags" with no respect for others take it away!!
i am sure the emotional pain will pass but the scar will always be there, i will try and regroup but a $22K loss is a hard one to swallow !!
this is a list and pics of the bike stolen:
2007 KTM 250SXF
2006 KTM 450XC
2001 KTM 400EXC
1998 GasGas EC250
2002 Kawasaki KLX110
1977 CanAm 175
anyone that might spot something please contact me,

Praying for you right now. It is like being "raped', you have been violated. I and others out here are keeping an eye out...sometimes they end up on the other coast.
Hang in there..[V]....Victor
Mike Sorry for the loss I will keep an eye out downsouth for you
Mike, Sorry to hear about your stolen motorcycles. I know how it feels to have one stolen; can't image what it feels like to have SIX gone. Fortunately, with some leads, I found mine at the bottom of the Black River (engine blown). One hand grip was sticking out. Keep your ears open, ask around, call motorcycle shops, get the word out. joe
Mike,
Racer X (http://www.racerxonline.com/) is good at posting information about stolen bikes on their website. The email address is //
[email protected]If you have the VIN numbers that they can post too, that might help.
Gary
Mike,
Sorry for the loss, a similar thing happened to my older brother a couple of years back. Some dirtbags took both his four wheelers from his garage. He was forurunate, as the State Police found them about 6 months after they were stolen...along with dozens of other bikes. You may have already done this but if you have not you should list them on the stolen bike registry. http://www.stolenmotorcycleregistry.com/ Hopefully somthing will turn up.

So very sorry to hear of this, and people wonder why I have a DVR hidden with cameras all over my shop, house and property recording 7 days a week.
I would post this at the Bettencourt auctions both at the shop and bike collection site. Contact J Woods to post fliers as probably the thief/s are still looking.
My heart goes out to you friend[V]
I doubt they would ever get down here to Florida, but I'll keep and eye out for them anyway Mike. Nice Can-Am by the way.

I will keep an eye out... a couple of years ago, a friend of mine had his Maico's stolen from him. He had come home from a race and parked his cargo trailer behind a locked gate. the trailer was locked too. and they made off with the whole trailer. they found most everything but it was in really bad shape. blown motors etc. the guys that stole the stuff could care less about selling it, they were looking to trash stuff. I quess they have no idea how important these bikes mean to us... I pray for a speedy recovery, that the bikes are returned with little or no damage and that your serenity is returned...

Did you file a report and if you did, were the motorcycles entered into the TCIC/NCIC system?(The law enforcement tracking system for stolen items, missing persons, etc)
Mikey,After our talk the other day i'm definitely beefing up security around my place. And i'd just moved almost all my bikes out of the garage so i could park my new truck inside.Oh well back to the drawing board.Wonder if my nextdoor neighbors would mind razor wire atop the wall?I hope the scumbags get what they deserve[B)],and you get your stuff back soon.Take care Brother,

Mike Sr and Junior,
In no way can I even begin to grasp how bad you guys must be hurting at this time, what a truly horrible experience for you to have to endure. As I look at the pictures of the bikes it is obvious that you had selected some very fine machines for your stable. Hopefully this situation will take a turn for the better, possibly with the finding of your machines, or possibly with the two of you becoming even closer as you help each other thru this difficult time.

Mike Sr and Jr. I can't begin to appreciate the sick feelings you guys must feel. My prayers for your loss, not only the bikes, but the loss of the expectations that others will treat us as we treat them. Very few people think of others first. Just dosn't seem to be in them. Hank

Phil,
it was by chance that the 07 250SXF was recovered,
a town about 8 miles from me {Lawnside, NJ.} the police got a call about loud bikes and quads being ridden at night, the police could see them from the lights on the quads and waited for them to come out, when they approached them it turned into a high speed chase down the road and onto a highway {my KTM and the 2 stolen quads}, the 3 Bro's made a turn down a dead-end street with a guardrail at the end and woods on the other side, they bailed from the KTM and the quads and got away on foot in the dark before Police back-up arrived, all units were impounded, Vin #'s ran the next day and mine was on the hot sheet, one call from my town detectives and i went to the impound to ID the bike and take it home {not until i paid the impound fee's !!},
i have a funny feeling they are still local, there is no way they can move them thru the internet or any bike shops in my area, i just have to hope i get a sighting or someone with loose LIPS talking about them !!
keeping my eyes open for yours as well !!
OK Phil keep in the loop,
regards,
Mike Gallagher, NJ.
UPDATE :
got a call from my local Police Dept. Wed. evening,
my 01 KTM400EXC was recovered in a high speed chase in Philadelphia,Pa., Wed. late afternoon, this time they caught the Bro and put him in jail !!
i have added before and after pics of the bike,
must of been the same painter that custom painted Fast Phils bike,
these dirt bags should be shot just for what they do to these bikes after they get there hands on them !!
anyway it still runs great,
i will have to do a frame off clean-up but at least i have it back,
4 more to go,
thanks again for everyone's support !!

You are so fortunate to have a motorcycle recovered and returned to you after it had been missing for five months. Wow! It still runs, too. Joe

Mike,
Great to hear you got a couple of the bikes back. Hope the cops can continue to find the rest. Yes it sure looks as if the painter was related to the guy who did Phast Phil's bike. I especially like the "Mopar Lime Green" wheels.
Dave McCullough
Mike, Glad you got another one back. Other than the wheels and the swing arm, it appears they didn't paint anything else. A lot of new decals and a new seat cover were added. Otherwise, is pretty fair shape. Glad you you got it back.
It could have been much worse, a friend of mine had his KTM stolen and they painted it flat black, from the fork legs to the rear fender. What a mess.
Tony
Mikey,So glad to here you got another one back.Get out the paint remover for the green and some gone for the sticker remains and it looks like you're back in business. Can the cops get the guy to give up where the other bikes are???Maybe a beating would convince him[B)]...freakin dirtbag.Talk Soon,

Awesome!!! they caught the rider of your stolen 400 KTM. I'm really sorry they butchered the bike with stickers and gaudy paint. Be sure to thank your local Police profusely for apprehending the scumbag.
Phast Phil
I noticed a number on the number plate, could that track you to a race or event where this bike was ridden/raced? Possibly more folks from this event may know this clown and some of his associates and you may be able to locate more of the stolen bikes? Check out the local MC clubs where this guy was caught. Registration should have bike info/numbers and riders names. Good Luck
