I'm looking for a wassell tank like what comes on the trials bikes for my Tyran.I need one with the indents for the tank emblems(need tank emblems too if anyone has or knows where to get).I have a pretty nice tank of the same style with no indents(probably not perfect but real good-i'll dig it out and inspect if any interest) i'll trade tanks,or Penton tank(i have a bunch),or cash. Thanks,

I sold a very nice one at Mid Ohio this year, they pop up on occasion at EvilBay, that's where I picked up a NOS Wassell Trials tank. The tank decals are available from Randy Kirkbride.
Thanks Kip!

Which tank is more sought after? The one with the indention or the one without?
Most likely the one you do not have in your garage! Joe
I'm restoring a Mudlark. My tank has the indentions. I was just curious. Mine has a couple small dings anyhow. I am restoring it to be a rider.
Does anyone know the origin of the name "MUDLARK". I am not real familiar with these bikes. Are they the observed trials Penton? Anyway, I used to race at Amherst Meadowlarks which seemed to be a proving ground for the Pentons because the track always seemed to be muddy. I mean DEEP, THICK mud, and water. Up to the axles and footpegs, and beyond, especially during harescrambles through the woods. Anyway, some of us nicknamed the track Amherst Mudlarks. Joe p.s. to be fair, I must say it was either a mud pit, or a dust bowl!
