ordered rebuild kit.Instructions say to remove plastic cover from valve handle.Is cover threaded.Used tool on slots to try to screw off,only moves a little bit.More instruction will be apreciated.

Yes they unscrew from the slotted side and innerds come out with cover/screw. Use a hex wrench and it should come out.
