Title: Tubeless...
Post by: skiracer on December 31, 2009, 03:32:27 PM
Okay, I your input on which tires to put on my KTM, so now I will ask about tubeless technology....  I what I have looked at, I am leaning towards the Tubliss setup.  Has anyone used them or any other type that is on the market?  Thanks, James

I have not tried it but have heard nothing but good about it. I have one just waiting for me to pick out a tire. If it works likes I've been told I'll be buying a few.

When I mentioned bib to a buddy, he thought that it was the number we wear. A couple of guys are running the Michelin bib mousse in their CRF's with great success, and it's a fairly easy install.

I know that is was metioned at one time, that Speedy runs the tubless tire. He would know which works best. Mike

That is correct.
Since the first Metzeler Mousse came to my shop years ago,and after I testet them on several types of bikes,I have never again used a AIRTUBE.,Modern bikes or Vintage.
On all my Sachs-Hercules-Zuendapp I am using Metzeler Uni X tires who are copies of the old ISDT tires from the 60-70s.
No worrys for flat tires and carring tools in any event.
Mounting them is easier then mounting airtubes because no way to pinch a leak into them:D
Longliving, aprox 2 years. After that they can be rapped with an old innertube to fill the tire again and having about 12 pounds is a good pressure.

Yes, I like them also.  I ordered one for the rear of my modern bike.  James
