Looking for a 1974 250 HS megaphone chrome tip exhaust in good shape.

If you don't find a complete pipe, I have one in good shape that is missing the chrome cone and the stud that holds the cone in place, that is welded to the internal baffle. You would probably have to remove the rear shroud and weld the threaded rod, and then weld the rear shroud back on. ParmaBike sells new Italian made reproduction chrome cones for $169 on eBay. Not cheap, but these pipes are not usually easy to find in nice shape. I would take $140 plus shipping or best offer on the pipe in nice shape. Mike

You don't have to have the threaded rod welded to the stinger for attachment of the end baffle. You can use 3 small sheet metal screws. They'll be visible and okay looking for a rider - in fact if you're racing, you cannot trust that single threaded rod for a mounting method anyway. It will eventually break and you'll lose your precious chrome baffle.
Now if it's for show, or you want it to be stock looking - disregard all of the above.

Hey Mike if Charles doesn't want it I would be interested @ your asking price or trade a nice Hercules 250GS-7 pipe w/o silencer. @Charles,you might know it but this is something that is pretty tough to find in any condition so I would assume you want it. Best, John

I calculated the postage on the pipe after I packed it up and for UPS delivery in the US it would be around $20, slightly less for Parcel Post, or around $30 for US Insured Priority Mail. BTW I added some pics in my previous posting. Mike
