I've given many away over the years, as well, but now wish I hadn't. These aren't my frames and I have no idea what the asking price is, but I know from experience that a good straight dirt bike frame is hard to come by these days. It's the one thing that not many are reproducing, as far as I know. And for those applications where there are repop frames and swingarms the prices for the frame kit alone are more than the value of most running Pentons/KTMs. I had to look at 3 frames for my 420 MC 80 before I found one that didn't have ovaled out engine mount holes, flattened engine cradle tubes, etc. As a matter of fact, I offered the other 2 frames and some aluminum swingarms for free, other than the cost of shipping and had no takers, so they went to the scrapyard in 2005 :(

The bad thing about trying to buy or sell frames, is the shipping cost, unless the buyer is close engough to get it to them. On average these frames bring around $75-100 at best. Shipping parcel post is around $60-65 from my own experience. Greyhound Bus Lines will ship the cheapest, usually under $40, but the recipient must pick it up at their local terminal. Just my 2 cents. Mike

If someone wants to buy a Greyhound bus ticket to my house in OR and take a clean MC5 frame home as luggage, they're welcome to it, gratis.

Well I guess the penton frame market just hit rock bottom;), thank guys. In that case I should be able to get a pipe for free from Jon(Big Mac)[:0] What should I do now; have over 50 frames set aside for part of my retirement fund:)
