Brian,

The model number is on the outside circumference on the flywheel, not on the front of the flywheel. The serial number is on the front of the flywheel and there is also a serial number on the front of the stator that matches the serial number on the flywheel.

There are a number of that will fit on the Sachs engines: 9600142, 9600150, 9600160, 9600166, 9600192 and 0616012.

The models that were made for the Sachs engines are 9600150, 9600160, and 9600166. The other models were made for the Husqvarna engines with the "small shafts", 9600142, 9600192, and 0616012. But they will also fit to the Sachs engines as well.

The number that you posted, I would suggest that it is a serial number.

Dane

Hi everyone, this topic has long ago but very interesting.
Motoplat remains a special thing.
There are many forms and types made and there is almost no information available.
Is it possible to fit a Motoplat 0616030 (Husqvarna) on a Sachs 125 engine (SACHS 1251/5)??
Thx, CK

Though I am not to familiar with Huskeys, but I beleive the Motoplat is mounted on the left side of the motor VS right side for Sachs & KTM motors.  Which means in my senior head old)that they rotate in opposite directions.

I remember reading somewhere that they were not interchangeable.

:)The direction of a Husqvarna Motoplat is also clockwise.
It's only the dimensions of the cone which can be different.

From the useless repository of inane things also known as my brain....

I strongly remember that the 1st number Brian is referring to was the Hi-Point catalog part number.

But I could be wrong....

For some reason numbers stick in my head - my childhood phone number, phone numbers from friends 30 years ago, number of my union card from the 70's - you get the idea...

And I can remember your face, but not quite your name.......

The Motoplat's are hard to mix and match for diffrent applications & are designed for specific engines. One of the reasons Dane came up with the PVL ignitions is to simplify ignition apliciations a bit.If we had the i.d. # we can let you know exactly what your motoplat was designed for. Also what engine do you need this ignition to work with? we do have a few diffrent new motoplat stators and flywheels from the Hi-Point days.

I run husky cr   stators with the sachs  moto plat fly wheels.  I was also told by Dane that the the matching serial  numbers  don't have to match  i.e. #570804  .
