Take out the main jet holder (the bigger hex the main jet screws into) then turn the carb upside down and the needle jet will fall out. If it needs some help, tap it from the bottom with an appropriate sized screwdriver.

I was bored a couple of Sundays ago (no Nascar) and cleaned the 38MM Mik on my YZ. Sometimes you need to pull these out using a small angled awl, as pictured on a Bing. Hope this helps. (http://pic90.picturetrail.com/VOL2143/12871495/22927377/382715649.jpg)

Just to clarify, you hold the carb upside down and tap the jet with the screwdriver from the float bowl side, it comes out through the top not the bottom.
