This 495 is in as many pieces as possible, except for the rear shocks. The only identifying marks are on the piggyback it says, "Adjustable" near the shock mount hole on the piggyback side there is an "N7" Or some kind of character that could be mistaken for a 7 and the other side same area says "HF2"
Any Ideas Thanks
Hi Michael,
Most of the '81 495's in the States came with Fox shocks, but they could also have had Ohlins, or even White Power. Maybe these photos will help you identify your shocks.

Thanks

I don't know what brand they are, but I've seen them used on late '70's/early 80's Hondas.

If you post in the rugginose.forumfree.it forum under the suspension topic heading you will receive an answer. If I have time I will post it for you tomorrow. Regards, John
Ok, I put up a question for you over there. Will post any replies. Those guys are good with the arcana. JEI
Michael, you have OEM Honda Showa shocks apparently. The responder on rugginose has a few pairs of white power--not sure if for sale and they might be in Oz. Best, John

Honda Showa Shocks. hmm. Maybe a new set of Ohlins would be a better choice.
