Title: Base gasket sealent
Post by: Doug Bridges on February 11, 2010, 10:04:49 AM
How many of you guys use any type of sealent on the cylinder base gasket and if so what kind when you put the top end together on your KTM motors.
Thanks!

Ditto!  Bare gaskets only on top end.  Grease on all case gaskets;)

Thanks for the info! When I took my 73 Jackpiner apart it looked like someone had put a dab of sealent where the base gasket contacts the seam of the cases and that is why I am asking. I will go with what you guys know.
