Title: My Penton Mudlark (done)
Post by: Gordon Brennan on February 28, 2010, 11:40:36 AM
Finished my Mudlark project. Thanks to all the folks here on POG for all the help. I would like to say a special thanks to Dennis Jones, for answering many questions, and Doug Wilford for repairing a nearly unrepairable motor.
Actually, I haven't even fired it up yet, but had to post these pictures.
Thanks again, Gordon Brennan

Rain took most of the snow away, and the sun melted the rest on that corner of the house. Now, just lots of half frozen mud.
Hi Glenn, AHRMA doesn't come close to New England. I will do most of the NETA events. And I will definately be at VMD. I just don't know if I will be riding this Penton. I haven't ridden it yet, but from what I've heard, it's not the greatest trials bike for New England. There is no Vintage line here. We ride the same line as a 2010 Gas Gas, that's hopping around like a pogo stick. We just do it on a Vintage bike. And the sections are set up with very tight turns, steep grades, lots of ledge and one line. There are guys, lots better than me that do well. If they ever went to a true Vintage event, they would do well. As a matter of fact, two of our members took 1st and 2nd on the Expert A line, at VMD last year. I ended up 4th on the B line, with my Ossa. Either way, I will have the Penton with me at VMD, even if I compete on the Ossa.
Thanks for the kind words folks.
Hey Bill, Who told you you couldn't have a wheel chock in your yard? :D
Kevin, I would like to do something with those NOS pegs. Any ideas to get more grip out of them? Not opposed to welding something to them.
