Title: Year of the '72 CMF Penton
Post by: rob w on March 04, 2010, 11:21:57 PM
Here's one. As of today this is what it's looking like. Almost done. It's a 109xxxxx. Need some natural daylight for decent pics.

Rob,
Very nice.  Does it have a 6A or 6B engine?  Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Bob, it's beautiful, like it's ready for battle!  What I like most is that it's not OVER-restored.  You know, polished where it's not supposed to be polished, and paint so smooth and perfect that it's not like it used to be.  Thanks for sharing,

Mick

Really nice example of a 72 Penton Six Days.  I had one with a 100cc 6 A engine which was great for hare scrambles.  I also liked the adjustable brake and clutch levers.  I remember while racing hare scrambles, passing all the other bikes in the pits refueling with their smaller gas tanks (Suzuki, Yamaha, et.al.).  Thanks for sharing the photos.

Very cool. Good job. You really paid attention to detail. I'm comparing it to the old advertisment from 1972 and the only thing I can find is no kick stand. A real thoroughbred. I wish I had the talent of some of the group. I'll be hangin' with my Mutt for some time to come.

Nice work, just right, the green paint is especially sharp, share your recipe when you get a chance. Thanks, David.

Excellent project completion....first class!  Looks like the showroom model I used to dream about til 74 when I got my brand new 74 Berkshire.

Thanks everyone, very much. Yes it has a 6A engine, still with Bosch ignition.
