I took my copy of the AMA magazine to the meeting on Thursday. When John Penton came into the room I made a comment to him that his picture was in the "news", as I held the magazine up for him to see the front page. He said "let me look at that", and as I handed it to him he pulled a marker out of his shirt pocket and did what he always does ... he autographed it on the front cover. I laughed and made a comment about him signing everything and then opened the magazine to his article where there is a photo of a photo of him stuck in the Michigan sand, pushing his Harley (at the 1948 Jack Pine enduro), I pointed out to him that he even autographed his own photo.
What a guy! We are so fortunate to have him involved with the POG.

It's also a wonderful article about him and what he has done for off-road motorcycling. :D

My copy arrived yesterday.  Now that I've read it and shared it with the family, I'll drop it in the mail to Dad in FL so he can enjoy it too.

As usual, everything's a little slower, here in New England. I just received my AMA magazine, and enjoyed the article about Mr. Penton.
Being new to the brand, I learned a lot. I'm hoping to meet John, as well as some more Mr. Pentons, at VMD, this summer. Hope they attend.
