Title: Beveled Rings
Post by: chuck on March 16, 2010, 07:44:51 PM
I purchased some rings for my 125 six day and one of them is beveled and look like black teflon. Is there a problem using them on a piston that the original rings were not beveled. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the bevel for better lubrication?

Thanks,

Chuck this is a moly coating on the top ring, there should be a dot marking on the bevel side which faces up if indeed it is the top ring. If it were the second ring the dot should face down. Just curious who the manufacturer is? Thanks, David.
