Sorry folks, I just received this pic today from my 6-Days maiden race after sitting for 25 years and had to share it.

Garrett,

Just like riding a bicycle-you never forget how to do it.  Nice pic with lots of style.  Looking good. SWEET!

Was that before or after you found out your brakes didn't work?

Congrats on being back on the bike, and GREAT photo, Garrett.  Say, can you ID the shocks on your bike?  I've got a pair just like 'em and have no idea what they are.

I'm glad you guys got a kick out of the PIC.  It was because of fellow POGer's I was able to get the bike racing again.  Thanks:D

1st. I have to thank Lloyd B for the shocks.  They are Boge's.  Thank The Lord they are stiff, Cause when I landed I thought I knocked all the fillings out of my teeth.[xx(]  The back end was perfect, but I had 5 weight in the forks.  I'm suprised I didn't break the frame.  Now its ATF up front and pretty nice.

2nd.   I think it was 2 laps later, when I found out the rear stay  arm bolt fell off.[:0] Once again Lloyd B. came to the rescue with a nut and bolt.  Victor M warned me stuff would come loose.

3rd.  Racing brings out all the gremlins and thats when I found out the shifting was horrible.  I'm bad, no excuse, no I haven't adjusted the shifting.  I got side tracked fixing up and racing my  79 KTM MC80 I bought it at the track the day this picture was taken.

4th.  The neatest thing is when people come over to "The Barstow" (my place I stay at for work) and see the little 6-day sitting in the corner of the living room all shined up.
I realize its not as nice as most of the bikes I've seen fellow POGers fix up, but, Everybody that comes by, thinks its the coolest![8D]

They really are works of art.
I get a kick out of the racing patina! ;)

Thanks for saying that about the shocks Garrett , I kept thinking I was a wossee or something the way those 12" shocks land.  They feel like they knock more than fillings out somedays...
