Title: KTM 420 chain guide plate needed
Post by: sachsmx on March 31, 2010, 03:03:59 PM
I need the rear chain guide plate for the early 420s (up to 1981, I believe). This is the smaller "squarish" plate bolted to the swingarm just ahead of the rear sprocket. The plastic guide block is unique to this model (MC80) as it has a prong that sticks into the swingarm and then 2 bolts that are parallel to the bottom edge of the guide plate and it is for a #530 chain. The part number is 560-07-070-000. I had a senior moment a while back and tossed it. I have a couple of the newer style that is long and angled.
I am looking for a new one or one in very good condition since I am polishing all of the alloy parts on the bike.
