Title: Sachs connecting rod
Post by: tbernert on February 16, 2002, 12:20:39 AM
I've got a connecting rod that is approximately 3 and 15/16 ins center to center and has the mark S37 on it. It also has a mark that looks like a suzuki s to me but the rod looks similar to bigger KTM rods that I have. Can anyone verify if this is a sachs rod. I believe the rod is new and I have a new big end bearing.

I have 3 NOS sachs rod kits here.  Two are steel and one is aluminum. All three have a sachs 10 digit parts number on them that starts our with 0617 102, the last three numbers vary as follows, 098, 298,199. Two of the rods have a  F&S stamped prior to the parts number and the third has what appears to be some sort of marking inside of a tiny circle.  The main thing here is that they all have the 10 digit parts number cast right into them. They are all for the 100/125 sachs engine.  Hope this helps.
