Title: marzocchi forks, 77 gs6 175
Post by: Hank McCurdy on May 02, 2010, 03:25:32 PM
Hey Guys: The fork tubes on my 77 gs6 175 are pitted where it counts. One is probably useable, the other is pretty bad. I came across this listing on ebay, for 34mm MC5 125 forks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400108883257&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
My guess is they are 35mm. Question, would these be correct for my bike? All or just the tubes? Is that about right moneywise, 150- shipped? Thanks for the help. Hank

The seller is asking for BUY IT NOW for $119 plus $31 shipping.   You can contact the seller via "ask a question" and make a reasonable offer on the item.   You might offer whatever you think is a fair price for both seller and buyer (If I needed them I'd offer $99).  The seller will respond to your offer, or counter-offer.

I think that is a little high, but not totally unreasonable. For reference, a couple months ago I got '78 KTM 38mm Zokes and triple clamps for my '77 MC5 for less than $200 to my door. Also, if you just need upper tubes, look for any bike that had 'Zokes, like Can-Ams, the uppers will interchange and they can be bought for much less than Penton/KTM forks. You can not use the lowers because the Canned-Ham axle is a different size, but the uppers are the same.
