Will a stock mx tank have enough gas to last an AHRMA cross county without refueling?  Thanks, Stork

Yes, even a 400 will make 1 hour with the MX tank provided its jetted properly, anything smaller will make it easy.

Jeff, i've used my MX tank at two-day qualifiers, also.

If in doubt, run the petcocks on RESERVE, and carry a spare bottle of fuel.  Be sure the bottle is resistant to the new gas and won't melt.

Cory Buttrick raced a 400 with an MX tank at Mid-Ohio a few years ago and made it. You know that kid was WFO way more than any of us so if he can make it we should all make it easily. The one exception is the bike has to be jetted clean, my blubbery MC5 would not go 1 hour on the 2.2 stock tank because its so horribly rich.

Heck, Stork, if you run out of gas, just pick the bike up and run with it!

Or better yet, just clothesline Mike Scholl as he rides by and steal his gas! :D
