Title: jackpiner kick starter
Post by: Denis Jeffries on May 06, 2010, 11:27:50 AM
Looking at a 73 jackpiner, kick starter won't return after you kick start the bike. have to raise back up by hand. thanks for the help.

Might be because the owner mistakenly removed the kick starter bolt (under the motor) instead of the engine oil drain plug. I think the cases have to be split to fix this condition.

I got a few old 72-73 JP cases and I've seen the kick starter stop bolt fiberglassed on there...
Also that 14mm kicker shaft is the rarest thing on the planet, dont use a hammer [B)]
