Title: A Little Dirt Tracking History
Post by: firstturn on May 07, 2010, 12:00:31 PM
A little off subject, but one of the players in the article (Jerry Griffith) had a hand in the frames for the Kenny Robert Penton.  I was working with the race team when this story took place.  When we (Honda) returned from Daytona that year and word of the RS750 had leaked out we had over a 100 people leave messages at Team Honda for information on how to purchase a RS 750.  Just for history sake the first engines were priced at $25,000 and we had people wanting them.....that was/is a lot of money.

I hope you enjoy the article even though it is about Honda.

That's cool! You gotta love it when a plan comes together. Mike
