Title: Anniversary of record setting run
Post by: Paul Danik on June 11, 2010, 04:31:50 AM
I am posting this a day late, but on June 10, 1959 John Penton completed his record setting transcontinental run on a BMW, 51 years ago....

Thank you Randy Kirkbride for putting such important information in the POG calendar, if only I would read it on time [8D]

What did John Penton do with the BMW when he arrived at his destination?   Did he ride it back home?

Joe,
He did ride it back home according to a article I read some time back?  Here is a good read about the trip.
