In need of a longer shift lever for my 74 Berkshire.The current lever is aproximentlt 4in long.Need one 6in long.

Hello,  I suggest that you consider a folding-tip shifter for your Sachs engine.  I have always used them on my race Pentons, in fear that a fall or snag would de-adjust the transmission, or worse yet, cause damage.   The tips can be purchased separately, then welded on to your desire length, or purchased as a complete unit.

Hi Mickey,

You called a while back and I couldn't find your phone number to return your call, but I asked LG to tell you that I got your message the next time he talked to you. I may have a longer shift lever, I'll have to look. I sent a bunch of stuff down to LGs a few weeks ago but will look here in my parts stash. Joe is right, though, a folding shift lever is the way to go. I think Al Buehner has them for $22 or so.
