I would like to thank everyone who helped unload, set up, take down and load the POG displays at VMD. Every thing went quickly with all your help.
Thanks
Al & Ollie Martin
Thank you Al and your dad, Ollie for the wonderful job you did in fixing up the "NEW" POG trailer. They built cabinets in the front part of the trailer to store items, and designed misc. brackets to secure all of the different POG items to conserve space and to prevent items from flying around during transport. Since the trailer will be loaded and unloaded by volunteers in the future, they took photos of where and how the things that belong in the trailer get placed and secured. These photos are laminated and taped to the walls inside the trailer. The repairs to the trailer did not happen overnight. Everything was well thought out and the craftsmanship is very evident when you see what they did.
Now, the real reason that Al is thanking everyone who helped in the unloading and loading of the trailer is that all that AL had to do after pulling the trailer from Mid-Ohio was to just park it. At the past events, Al volunteered the use of his trailer. That meant that he had to unload all of his work tools and materials from it, take it over to John's garage, load the POG items need for the event and then repeat the process in reverse. The new POG trailer has made Al and Ollie's volunteer efforts much easier.
Al and Ollie are just one example of the wonderful POG members who go out of their way in making the Penton Owners Group the fantastic organization that it is.
