thanks dennis. that was my last layout commitment for the year so now other than my regular employment, its just racing and working on bikes. i really liked that course but it took a lot of work between myself and jim kuhns to get it there. they had over 400 inches of snow last winter so there was a lot of downed trees and logs to cut through. i think that if we go back there again, i could probably double the length of the course. anyway, the course seemed to be well recieved and the penton marque had a good showing. todd morain was the overall leader in the vintage ranks riding my old reliable #55f harescrambler, i won the +50 exp class with another penton right behind being piloted by amherst's kevin outland. teddy rode well in both vintage and pv. pog stalwart greg troyan joined him in the pv battles. lew mayer was going to ride too but had a difficult moment. be sure to ask him about it.;) i completed the bike that i was riding thurs morning before i left, so that's why todd rode my tried and trued primary bike and i rode the untested one. it was pretty neat to have a hand in so many of the bikes riding the vintage race. there were at least five motors that i had rebuilt. either 4 or 5 250 pentons and a 175 can am. i hope everyone enjoyed it as much as i did.
