Title: Sachs engine case protector
Post by: rob w on November 02, 2010, 08:36:14 AM
I felt pretty good about the design of my Sachs engine case protector.

NOW, I feel VERY GOOD about it.

Compared to this design.........-> ->
Gotta give whoever an A for effort - although they still were'nt thinking outside the box. :D [8D]

(This Berkshire is coming up for auction Jan. 2011 in Las Vegas)

Yes it looks very strong, albeit a little industrial........

Bawb,
I know that the case guard pictured was what you intended to make originally, but once you saw someone had already done that, you changed your design. Do us a favor and re-post the pic so all the newbies can see it. Mike ;)

Looks good on the bench but could be a mud packer on a wet day.

Bob,  I like your design, even though it may be a mud-packing device according to Pete.  The only way to determine how well it works is to test it.  It obviously must be used with a partial ignition cover.  Please send one case protector for "field evaluation".   Thank you,  Joe

What I want to order this that custom ignition cover (because mine and almost every other one I've seen is boogered up) and the case cover.

Also I feel bad about Sparky he was a great baseball man

Bob,  Now that I see it installed with an original type side cover, I can see that your design is really well thought out.  Great job.  Joe
