I am restoring a 71 steel-tanker and I need (1) chain adjuster and the "U" shaped bracket for the speedo. I've tried Al B. and the Genuine NOS parts guy from Wisconsin with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
Rocket
Hi Rod,
I have an original "U shaped" speedo bracket. I do not want to sell it but would be more than happy to let you borrow it to try and duplicate. Let me know. You can email me by using my screen name here followed by @cox.net .

Thanks for the offer on the bracket, I have a steel-tanker that I can remove the bracket and copy.
thanks

Rocket, I'm not following you on the 'U' speedo bracket ? Just can't picture it.
Bob
Bwrob,
I didn't either. He is referring to the bracket that holds the Speedo in place and bolts on to the back of the speedo.

Wasn't the correct mount as below?

Apologizing for the rust the one on the Jackpiner.

Correct mount, but what Rod needs is the bracket that bolts on to the back of the speedo and keeps the speedo in place in the bracket that is pictured.

Thanks Uncle Ron

I think I still have one left if you need it, let me know. Dont forget to put the "O" Ring under the VDO when you mount it.

I do need the speedo "U" bracket if you have one.
thanks
Rod
Will check tonight and ship it tomorrow if I have it!
I have two types of chain adjusters for steel tankers I think there are two types. LG
Have the black U in the second pic.
