Title: Penda Penton?,B.Kirby,P.Johnstone
Post by: garrettccovington on November 11, 2010, 12:59:07 AM
I was on facebook and I must of hit the wrong button and I saw a 6-day frame, with a Penda??? Motor in it.  The Pic came off of a mobile phone, from Paul Johnstone.  I was wondering if that was the same Paul that is related to Mike of ARX fame and if he is building this bike?  It looked really trick.

Does anybody know anything about it?

A Penda is a Penton chassis with a Honda Elsinore engine in it. Paul is indeed Mike's brother.

Garrett,  Look at the WANTED/FOR SALE (wanted Penton 100-125 MX gas tank) section of the POG site.  It is currently the top post.  Everything you ever wanted to know about a PENDA.   Joe  p.s.Hope you heal well.

Thanks Joe for the well wishes.  I don't seem to heal as fast as I use to.  Also thanks for the info on the Penda.  You know,, I don't remember ever hearing about a penda, I was glued to Cycle News in the 70's and even had my mom drive me down to FMF to check out a pipe.
