I liked the article! 38 KTMs over the years! That gentleman must have sold a lot of HomeLite products to fund the bike habit. He made some interesting comments about Mr. Penton telling him once that 175cc is the optimum sized dirtbike and should be ridden the majority of time in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears. I have never ridden a dirt bike between 125 and 250 and I have my eye on that KTM 150 XC to compliment my 300...(Someday...)
I second that, all those in favor?
thanks Jon, nice article, I agree, riding a smaller bike in the woods is a great idea, I use to ride a 400 in the woods back when I was young but it is alot of work and beside who am I trying to impress by riding such a big bike? I rode my sons XR 200 a couple of times and it was so much fun but it is not quite enough for such a big boy as me. I love riding my 250 in the woods, more than enough power and you could not break it with an axe.
Thom Green,Still crazy after all these years!

My 200exc is about the perfect woods bike, even for a big guy. A big thumper for steep hills would be helpful, but not enough need for it to warrant battling the big motor and extra girth.
Would love to find a senior citizen in my area who buys a new KTM every year and trades out his couple-years old, low hours bike.
