Do any of you guys remember doing battle against one of these? This is my latest project.

I always thought they were too pretty to be on the track. I know you will do a nice job on this one.

Interesting how the rear shocks are mounted. It looks like the top mount is further back than the bottom mount..... Very cool looking project, good luck with it! James
Doug: I did a '72 sdr a few years back. Took a chance on ebay and got a nearly complete bike with good nickle, which was a huge head-start. (http://i861.photobucket.com/albums/ab177/hankmccurdy/IMG_2958.jpg) (http://i861.photobucket.com/albums/ab177/hankmccurdy/IMG_2962.jpg)
I had a '73 mx too. These bikes go pretty good, are built really well, look great, and I think share some DNA with Pentons. Good luck!

You did an awesome job on this bike. Mine will never look that good. Nickle plating was too far gone so I striped it to bare metal and can't afford replate, so will have to paint it :( I Hope it will be a good looking and performing rider/racer when I am done.

Speedy can probably give you some tuning tips to make that little Zuendapp hum!

Nice project. The Rickmans are very pretty bikes. A friends brother got a Six Days Zundapp/Rickman new for Christmas back in the early 70's, only rode it a handful of times on the street and the master link let go. The bike sat in their carrige house for years untouched. I had wanted it for years and back in '89 I traded him a new shop vac for it. I sold it to a buddy 10 yrs later. It's been sitting in his shed since but does get run occationally...
Has anyone seen the mint Rickman/Montesa for sale on CL that was owned by Zach Reynolds (RJ Reynolds grandson) I'd sure like to own that but it's priced heavily.
Here's a buddies Yamaha powered Rickman. I think it's an RT360 motor.

I recently finished my 1974 Rickman/Montesa 250. I remember when they first came out--I thought they were really ugly. I have since changed my mind.
