Title: 74-78 250 vs 400 Weight Difference
Post by: Tahitian_Red on February 09, 2011, 02:16:35 PM
Would there be only a minimal weight difference between the early 250's and 400's, since almost all components are shared?  Thanks!

Don't have info on the early models, but I have a 77 cut sheet that says the 250 and 400 weight the same....Says the MC5 is 210 and the GS6 is 220. Don't know if this is dry or wet.

400's are just a few lbs heavier.

I agree with Rob, especially when talking about a "76" up 400 as the crank was weighted, pipe different, ignition heavier.  Not noticable though, I ride one:D
