Title: Sprocket Nut Size
Post by: Raphael Yost on March 27, 2002, 03:56:53 PM
Can anyone tell me the size of the sprocket nut on the 250 '76 KTM engine?  I need a new one and don't want to haul the bike to the nut house. They seem to come in different pitch sizes also...

Don't forget.....it's reverse threads too!

It is standard right hand threading, 1.5 pitch and 20mm for those interested. The drive is on the right side and it is not backwards like on the flywheel.

OOPS...you're right....my bad.....I looked at the manual for my '77 400gs6 and it says is a 30mm nut, right-hand thread...M20x1.5 and tightened to 35 ft/lbs...I guess yours is the same....Sorry....
