Today at Competive Edge they had the Marty Tripes 100's races. It was unbelievable!... There had to be a 100 100's in the 100cc class. I would have to say, everybike was spotless. You will be in for a real treat and Diamond Don's.
It was cool to meet Bruce M. Real Class Guy!

Looks like the "Flyin' Hawaiian" John DeSoto will be joining the Marty Tripes
100 works revenge at Diamond Don's.
Big John is a Legend in the world of Motocross. Where else can you bang bars,be
on the same starting line with motocross greats than with the Marty Tripes 100
works revenge!!!
If you are not coming to Diamond Don's we need to send over the paddy wagon to
take you to the mental hospital, because you are insane!!:-)

Is the KX in the above pics allowed in the 100 class?Sleeved down 125?Just curious, nice looking bike.

Ric,
At DD's there were a couple of CR 125 Hondas in that class, so I am sure (maybe sure) that they were sleeved down. So that KX must be too!!!! Maybe we should sleeve down a 125 Sachs GS Pro!!!!

From what I remember from the race (I can't remember what I had for dinner last night), there was an announcement that the KX was an actual Factory KX completely restored, worth $20,000-$30,000+. I think Marty presented the owner with an award for the bike. I am sure Paul Johnstone or one of the other guys can give more accurate info.
Lloyd
Patrick Johnson's Kawasaki is not a orig factory, but does have some works parts on it and it has been sleeved down to a 100cc.
Patrick found the person in Japan that had the orignal mold for the fiberglass gas tank.
The bike is what the Marty Tripes 100 works revenge is all about.

Watching those vids was sweet! I don't think I ever had as much fun racing as I did in the 100 class. The sound of those 100's on the pipe is music. Man those things are trick. Only thing missing is the smells!
JG
Paul,So the KX started life as an A4 or A5 and modded from there? What a Neat Bike!!!!The Honda looks nice with the facelift too!
Ric

Ric,
I am not sure what Patrick's Kawasaki started as, I think it was A5. It is a copy of Steve Wise's works bike.
