Post by: Steve Minor on April 21, 2011, 01:06:24 PM
Just heard on the news another brave Texas Firefighter has lost his life to these wild fires.....How about a special prayer for them and their families.

Ron Carbaugh, Bobby Lucas...and all my Texas friends, stay safe!

Thanks Ron and steve, I have already started praying, I was concerned about you Ron cause I figured that your place might be in an area that could be taken by wild fire.. In 04 when Big Mac and I went to Tulsa He told me the story of how some of his family lost their homes, In some cases the fire over took the home so fast they had no time to grab anything but a coat before the house was gone.. some of their neighbors did not make it because they lingered too long. In 2000 I was pastoring in a valley with foothills, the terrian of the hills was so steep they could not deploy fire fighters. I woke up on Sunday morning to huge choppers flying over dumping water to keep fire from getting worse..I believe what finally turned the tide,, so to speak, was a light shower. Even cooler temps can Make a big difference...

Thanks for your Prayers Thom.  We actually had a 30 to 40 minute shower last night.  We live on a River/Lake and I already have the Honda 2 inch pump hooked up and it pumps a max of 158 GPM.  I tested it yesterday.  Just Pray for the people who have lost everything.

Glad to hear about the rain, I would have been surprised if the pump was made by anyone but honda. [8D] I will pray for those who lost everything,, I have a hint of what that feels like.. It makes me ill just thinking about it... I expect to hear about Miracles... thanks for the update..
