Hello, can anyone point me to info on tuning and rebuilding 1976 Amal carb.It is on my 76 Husky 175 Cross Country. The bike will run but cuts out as if choked or ? This is all original bike and carb when I bought it.My other thought is to swap for a new Mikuni and see how that goes. Please let me know if you have any ideas!  Thanks,Doc

Greg  Throw it away and replace it with a Bing or Mikuni

Greg

I put a Mikuni VM32mm on my 1976 175 Husky and it was the difference between night and day. Fit perfect.

If the problem is not fuel related, check the ground connection on the coil. I had a 75 Husky 125 that I thought was having the same issue and it just turned out to be the coil ground. Need to be metal to metal, no paint between. Just my thoughts.
