Can someone tell me the size of the ball bearing that is in the kick starter that keeps it open and closed.

The original kick start levers used a pin that pushed up against a short spring.
The reproduction kick start levers that I sell use a 1/4" ball bearing.

Repaired kick starter. Works like brand new. here is how I rebuilt. Took a spring from a ball point pen. cut to length. Ball bearing is same size that is in the fork caps, had an extra. Set spring in place with ball on top. Pushed assembly down into recess area slid shaft over.Replaced press pin to hold assembly together. Now it clicks and stays in open and closed position like it suppose to.
