I bought a 78 125 CMF from Cycle Shack in Bellaire TX back in the summer of 1977 (I think the year is right). I have the original owners manual but I don't have the S/N. Are there any Sales Records available which could show what the S/N was? I'm interested to know if the bike still exists.

I am not aware of any records unless the dealership still has them and can find the s/n. The dealership you are talking about has been sold several times and the original owner passed away about 4 years ago. This was really before dealers were using computers so most transactions were done on paper only. The bike you are talking about probably wasn't registered and was on MSO only. I have several bikes that I have tried to trace by the person I sold it to back then.
