Hey Mike, I rode my '76 Ty 175
As you can see from my signature(?) I have a '74 TY 250. Looking for a spare frame right now so I can make a Majesty type copy (relocated shock mounts and the motor is raised about 1.5" up in the frame).

Gene,
What kind of a turnout was there for the Trials and Cross Country?
Mike,
I'm also thinking about building a Majesty. They are so cool! I have a friend who is bringing me a stock TY frame next week. For those who don't know what a Majesty is, it was an aftermarket frame kit that was built by Mick Andrews and John E Shirt for the TY Yamahas.
I want to build one to look like this.

Wow! Who would have thought 3 Poggers were trying to build Majesty's at the same time. I have an extra frame for my TY 250 that I am working on and picked up a nice donner bike for $450.
Gary I've been looking at pictures of that 200 for a long time, that sectioned tank is way cool. Here is a pic of the Misses 175. It's going to get some frame work this winter.

Those are cool looking bikes.

Trials turnout was horrible. 4 riders. I'm not sure of the CC count but it was much better. What do you think, 45? Gene? And yes, Jerry did it again with a fine and fun course. Thank you, Jerry!
Unfortunately, that course was not so fun for Sunday's regional CC after a thunderstorm the night before.

hey guys. thanks for the all kind words and encouragement. laying out good hare-scramble courses have become a passion of mine. i take a lot of enjoyment when people like them. i just wish that they were not all so far away. but anyway, it was great to see a good turn-out of penton riders again. i brought out two 250's and they went 1 and 2 overall in the vintage session. todd morain was first and a newly joined 18 year old todd krieg was second on his first race ever on a vintage bike. both of those guys then went to the vmx at mountainfest and were kicking butt in the 250 expert class. unfortunately, they were late to the gate for their 1st moto and started like a lap down but the second moto they were way out front with young todd k besting older todd m. i ended up spraining my r ankle and r knee in cc race on friday but i'm doing a little better already today compared to yesterday. good to see everyone and i'm glad that my commitments for track work are done for the year. oh yea, i need some input, how did any of you like those new style arrows that i had made? myself, i find them to be highly visible even from a distance. chi jer
Lew, I think thats about right with about 45 riders. Jerry, the arrows were good. I liked the bright orange color. Maybe for us older guys (that can't see anymore) they could be just alittle bigger.
i think that there were 28 in the vintage race and a little more in the pv session. so i think somewhere around 60. not sure tho. chi jer
Glad to hear there were that many, Jerry and I'm glad you're feeling better. I'm a little sore after I ran into a tree on Saturday. Nothing broken, I'm sure

I'm still trying to locate a spare frame for my 250. (I don't want to screw up the one I'm using now as the bike has matching numbers and I do have it plated) Where did you get the tank at? Looks pretty sweet. And that pipe on the Majesty looks nice too. I ghuerss I'll have to check B&J. Don't know about the seat but I think that they may have the pipe.

Mike,
The pipe and muffler are Sammy Miller items.

Mike,
If you are asking about the tank on my bike it is also a Sammy Miller product.

Does anyone know who was taking pictures at the Cross Country race? And the trials (Mt.fest)
I think B&J may have something similar to the Miller pipes, I'll have to check.
Wasn't somebody taking Penton only pics @ MidOhio?
