Title: PVL -VS - MZB
Post by: cubfan1968 on August 13, 2011, 06:44:37 PM
I have a MZB on one of my 72's and was wondering about putting a PVL on my long term project bike. I will not run lights. I just wondered if I will still get the good starting I do with the MZB.

Thanks guys

I have had good luck with the 125cc motors with setting PVL ignition up at between 2.7-2.8 BTDC. The smaller number (retarded) starts more easily. Make sure you sand off some paint on one engine mount and coil mount and apply some dielectric grease to the area to prevent corrosion. Mine starts every time.
