Title: Jackpiner shocks needed - suggestions?
Post by: DougDyar on August 27, 2011, 10:47:30 AM
I'm a 200 lb rider (fat guy) who needs some new shocks for my Dec '72 Jackpiner project.

I've searched the site, but noting difinitive. I want to trail ride the bike when it's done.

What is the proper length shock? Can someone provide a source for a decent quality shock that will stand up to my weight and moderate trail riding? Maybe something custom built with the proper springs and damping?

Thanks in advance.

Doug,
I agree, that's the best way to go. They'll be apx. $ 440, and will take a beating for years.

Sounds good, guys. I appreciate the feedback. I'll give them a call and see what they can do.
