Title: Replacement Tires
Post by: Keith Meatyard on November 07, 2011, 09:20:51 PM
The 73 Jackpiner came with 4.00 x 18 Metzler rear and 3.00 x 21 front.  What brand/model currently available would give me similar height and cross section as the originals?  I have a 4.10 Cheng Shin, but it sure looks smaller than the original Metzler when held side by side.

Yes, Perfect fit for the Jackpiner or Hare Scrambler or even the Mint.  Too big for the 125 and 100. At least the rear. A 4.10 is more like a 350X18.  It is supposed to be a low profile 400 or 10% shorter side wall than width but it ends up being much smaller.

Thanks guys.  I'll be shopping.  Know of a good supplier?

Pirelli MT16 is a good choice.  I like to support local shops as much as I can but J&P Cycles has good pricing and delivery. Tom
